A Primer for Newcomers
Portland is divided into five main zones - Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, Southeast, and North. Each area is subdivided into named districts or neighborhoods, each with its own unique flair. We’re particularly fond of North Portland and are excited to share a few of our favorite NoPo neighborhoods.
Williams District
Perfectly walkable and bikeable, this destination-worthy neighborhood is your home base. Overflowing with trendy restaurants, award-winning brewpubs, drool-inducing bakeries, locally-owned boutiques and fitness offerings galore.
Mississippi Avenue
Home to popular live music venue Mississippi Studios, Mississippi Avenue also boasts Portland gastronomic favorites such as Blue Star Donuts, Little Big Burger, and Lovely's Fifty Fifty Pizza.
Alberta Arts District
Famous for its First Thursday Art Walk, the Alberta Arts District is a short (~5 minute) bike ride from Peloton Apartments. Alberta street has something for everyone. Don’t miss the Radio Room for brunch, Les Cave's underground wine bar with unique pours by-the-glass, or the Alberta Street Pub's live music venue and epic covered patio.
